WAREHOUSE RECEIVER
Job Summary: The duties of the Warehouse Receiver is to check inbound product against receiving paperwork to ensure that product matches the order in quantity and pack size and labels the product accordingly. Also, ensure product condition meets acceptable government and company requirements. This helps maintain accurate inventory records and makes sure that the customer is receiving the correct, high-quality product.
Qualification Guidelines
Responsibilities:
- Check inbound product identification against invoices and receiving paperwork to ensure correct pack/size, quantity, product quality, and temperature, pallet ti/hi, etc.
- Check temperature of all inbound frozen and refrigerated products to ensure proper temperatures and comply with Peddler’s Son’s food safety.
- Check the cleanliness of the trailers before they are unloaded.
- Verify quantity of each product to ensure physical count agrees with shipping and receiving documentation; report any variances so that inventory levels are accurately adjusted in the system.
- Apply labels to all incoming product to identify that product in the warehouse for stocking, selection, and inventory tracking.
- Complete required paperwork for daily receiving, as per Peddler’s Son’s, USDA requirements; sign and date to authenticate products received are placed into inventory.
- Communicate with Day Warehouse, Inventory, and Procurement.
- Follow all HACCP, SQF, and OSHA rules and regulations.

- Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
